The first proper storm chase of the 2016 Spring season resulted in some great storms across the region on 28 October. The season had been slow to get underway so was welcome to get amongst it and also capture some lightning near Casino, NSW. All chase pics here
Storm chase to the NSW Northern Tablelands and briefly into the QLD Granite Belt district on 29 October 2016. Lightning opportunties were limited but caught this one east of Stanthorpe. All chase pics here
A hot day with a storm chase to near Lawrence on 8 November. Some decent lightning captured later at Whiporie, NSW.
Severe storms occurred across the region on 9 November 2016. Captured some nice bolts during a storm chase then also some close bolts out the front home in the evening, including the same spectacular valley bolt on two different cameras. All chase pics here
Storm chase to Cedar Point then across to Mallanganee, then back east to near Rappville in the evening. The lightning in the evening were associated with supercells that had tracked hundreds of kilometres from inland NSW, but weakened as they dropped off the Dividing Ranges. All chase pics here
