Storms were active in SE QLD this day. I got some lightning images taken from home at McLeans Ridges.
A line of thunderstorms pushed into the Northern Rivers from the west. The storm happened to peak right in front of my home and punched out these amazing bolts in the valley over a 2 minute period, after which heavy rain and small hail fell. The very dramatic 3D looking photos were taken with a 50mm lens at F4 with the camera set up on the lounge room floor with the sliding door open (rain was blowing onto the verandah area). Yet another lightning show for September 2005. This time a small storm developed over Lismore tracking ESE. Then more storms occurred to the NW. All taken from home at McLeans Ridges. Storm chase report here
