A fantastic storm chase afternoon, but only one lightning opportunity when getting home due to a southerly change and stratocumulus. Storm chase report here
December 2006 was pretty quiet for thunderstorms, but the 15th sure turned in on with a massive electrical storm advancing through the Northern Rivers. The late afternoon lightning shot was taken at Casino, then the remainder at home. My daughter Katrina came along for her first proper storm chase and captured some great video footage. The poor summer season continued. It's now 12th January 2007 and west of Tenterfield. A line of cells advanced northwards along the ranges. Australian Severe Weather Forum discussion here
