Autumn 2011 continued to provide lightning photography opportunities. The first few were taken from Ballina, NSW looking across the Richmond River. The later photos of cloud tops were taken from home at McLeans Ridges, NSW.
An isolated storm cell at twilight provided a nice scene to the northwest of home on 22nd April 2011.
A particularly lightning active storm caught my attention during the evening of 30th April. It was offshore between Ballina and Evans Head with the photos taken near home.
These photos were taken using the lightning trigger on 3rd May 2011. The over-exposed one started off as an anvil crawler with a nearby pulsing CG unfortunately blowing the highlights.
