A couple of weak thunderstorms passed nearby on 12 February 2012. These shots of anvil crawler lightning of a stronger storm on the Border Ranges were taken from home.
A number of low-topped thunderstorms developed across the NSW Northern Rivers region. The lightning was fairly infrequent but still resulted in some glowing cloud and anvil crawler shots from Casino and Lismore. The latter storm did manage to produce some hail in Ballina.
Thunderstorms developed across the Clarence Valley early afternoon on 20th February 2012 before activity spread into other areas late afternoon and evening. Lots of lightning was observed from the last cell but almost all of the lightning was in-cloud.
