These photos are a continution of the New Year's Eve storm activity which continued until about 4am New Year's Day. Lots of low cloud prevented a better view but I was awake most of the night watching just in case.
The 18 January 2015 was a very hot and humid day with a small storm mid afternoon then some weak activity on the Border Ranges early evening. All pics here.
I was woken by thunderstorms along the coast east of my McLeans Ridges home just before 3am on 19 January 2015. Lucky I bothered to get up and take some photos as unusual channel branching was captured in photo number 10 of the sequence. Here's a cropped version:
