Rain and lightning developed during the evening of 18th March 2017 and snapped one bolt from home late evening.
Thunderstorms along the Northern Rivers coast 26 April. Low clouds eventually ruined the view.
After a few months of no storms this occurred mid-winter to the northwest of home on 15 July. A weak shelf cloud had occurred prior: see pics here.
More July storms which are certainly welcome! Three rounds of cells passed across the Nightcap and Border ranges on 18 July and I captured these shots from home.
A supercell hailstorm formed on 24 August 2017 on a triple point boundary west of Casino. It tracked across Lismore, Alstonville and my home (with golf ball sized hail). Very unusual for August. Later on storms developed off the coast and these are the shots. All chase pics here
