A significant upper trough passed over the region with severe thunderstorms in NE NSW and SE QLD - not a bad setup for the middle of May. This was followed by very cold air with early season snow on the NSW Northern Tablelands. These sunset lightning pictures were taken from home: McLeans Ridges, NSW



A thunderstorm developed along the NSW / Queensland border near Tweed Heads. The cell managed to produce some hail before soon passing out to sea. These pics taken from home at McLeans Ridges.
